The need

ECHO needed one dependable workflow for staff to find available vehicles across office locations, prevent conflicting reservations, document vehicle condition and mileage, report safety issues, and keep fuel and trip records connected to the right vehicle and reservation.

The approach

ECHO Drive brings fleet availability, vehicle schedules, reservations, trip start and return workflows, required inspections, defect reporting, and receipt capture into one application. Staff can search with ordinary phrases and move directly to a vehicle by tapping or scanning its ID card. Native mobile apps support Apple iPhone and iPad devices and Android, while a full browser-based experience supports desktop work.

What the product covers

  • Availability search by location, date, time, duration, vehicle details, and staff favorites
  • Natural-language voice search that can move directly from a request to a matching booking
  • Vehicle schedules, conflict-aware reservations, extensions, early returns, and multiple trips per reservation
  • Pre-trip and post-trip mileage confirmation, walk-around inspections, and photo-backed defect reporting
  • Safety escalation that can remove an unsafe vehicle from service and immediately notify the organization
  • Fuel receipt scanning with AI-assisted detail entry for staff review and correction
  • Native mobile apps for Apple iPhone and iPad devices and Android, plus an available web-browser desktop experience

Choice Apps’ role

Product discovery and workflow mapping, application architecture, responsive interface design, full-stack implementation, testing, release operations, user documentation, and ongoing support.

Outcome

ECHO now has a consistent operational record from reservation through vehicle return. Staff can see availability before booking, complete required safety checks, escalate defects with photos, capture verified fuel details, and manage multiple trips within a reservation without relying on disconnected paperwork or informal handoffs.
